You are invited to a meeting of the Brierley Hill Civic Society to take place at 5.30pm on Monday 16th November 2009 at St Michael’s Church, Brierley Hill.

Please note: Steve Greaves from Dudley College will open up the former Glass Centre in Moor Street at 4.30pm prior to the meeting to give us a chance to take photographs, look around, inspect etc.  All welcome to attend!  Meet at the Glass Centre.

Brierley Hill Christmas Lights Switch On – 20th November 4pm-6pm – Moor Centre

We have Santa,  Bob Cratchett and Marley who juggle and stiltwalk,  Fun Fair Rides,   Face Painting and Balloon Modelling,  Bouncy Castle  Reindeers and The Falconry Centre Entertainment from Local schools and Community Groups   Event is between 4.00pm – 6.00pm . Lets hope for good weather  and a goodtime !

Remembrance Day – Sunday 8th November, Brierley Hill War Memorial, St Michael’s Church, 10.45

Soldier This year’s Brierley Hill remembrance service will take place at St Michael’s Church Brierley Hill on Sunday 8th November.  Laying of the wreaths will take place at the war memorial with people being asked to gather at 10.45 for the ceremony.

Inspired by ‘King Bladud’s Pigs’ sculpture trail in Bath 2008 (www. kingbladudspigs.org), the Brierley Hill Arts and Culture Development Group is launching a similar trail in and around Brierley Hill during summer 2010. This will be a huge event for Brierley Hill and will encourage visitors to take a fresh look at the area, encompassing usual and unusual venues and locations – inspiring exploration!
