Fantastic but like someone else mentioned - shame the Baths were closed down - that would help with health and well-being of a lot of Brierley Hill residents - oh and some decent pedestrian crossing!!!!! This place has to be one of the worse places in the Midlands to be a Pedestrian :(

Just curious about public transport, why do the buses need to use the high street and why cant they now divert around the bypass. I mean if people want to catch the bus its less than a couple of minutes to the next step either side of Brierley Hill.

It would allow people to be safer from large vehicles along the high street.

It would reduce congestion at busy times along the high street too.

Along with this why is there no enforcement of the double yellow lines along the high street. There are constantly vast numbers of people parking their. It's ridiculous having to weave in and out if you do drive along the high street.

Maybe it's time to give right of way to pedestrians??

As chairman of Brierley Hill Traders Association , we the traders are strongly opposed to the introduction of a new bus facility on Ventura Way, as part of our support for the new road system it was agreed that there would be no facilities for buses on this route as we feel that the introduction would draw the number of buses from the High Street onto the new Ventura Way i.e making the High Street separated from the developments. The idea is that people would use the bus facilities in the High Street and filter through to the new developments as the distance from the existing facilities to the new development is just a short walk away. The general idea of the area action plan is to link the High Street to the new developments but by placing bus stops directly on the new development it is contradicting the linkage. We the traders feel this will undermined the High Street position. We are strongly opposed to this.

How do I find it?
What buses go by it?
Pity Cllr Les Jones helped to close the Swimming Baths - that's very healthy for people too.

Never let anyone stop you from imagining a clean environment.

Health is a result of environmental signals to your DNA.

Every time you make a good choice against litter, positive chemical reactions happen instantly in your body & brain that make you more

healthy and alive.

In other words... Picking Up Litter = Free Drugs created by your brain.

Future generations will not tolerate litter.
