DESIGNS for a new £3m health centre for Pensnett have been submitted to Dudley Council.

The new two-storey building is to built on the site of a former petrol station in High Oak and will offer a range of treatments and services as well as physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and midwifery.

Doctors from the nearby High Oak Surgery will be relocating to the new facility and community rooms and a library link will also be available.

It is hoped the new health centre, set to be built with red brick and white and green render, could be opened to the public in September 2013.

The plans, proposed by NHS Dudley, in conjunction with Dudley Infracare Lift, can be viewed online in the planning section at dudley.gov.uk before being decided at a forthcoming Development Control Committee.
