Tiger mask making and stories at Brierley Hill library – this weekend

To celebrate storytelling week come to the library to listen to fun stories and make you own Tiger Mask.

This event is for children aged 3-8 years and will take place on Saturday 30th January at 2.30pm.  Get your FREE ticket from the counter downstairs.

Meanwhile EVERY Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 – 11.30am there are story telling sessions.  No need to book – just turn up.

Award winning writer Nell Dixon at Brierley Hill Library, Wednesday 3rd Feb 10.30am

Author Nell Dixon, winner of Romantic Novelists’ Association  Romance Prize 2007 for her book Marrying Max will be talking about her books and her writing at Brierley Hill Library on Wednesday 3rd February 2010 from 10.30 am.

 Based in the Black Country, Nell writes romantic fiction with a mix of humour and suspense.

 Her books include Animal Instincts, Blue Remembered Heels and Marrying Max.

 Her latest book is Crystal Clear.

Civic Society to launch on 15th February

The Civic Society want to promote a sense of pride in our town

Brierley Hill Civic Society will be holding its official launch next month at St Michael’s Church Brierley Hill.  The launch will commence at 5.30pm on Monday 15th February.

Members of Brierley Hill’s newly formed civic society will get their chance to have a say on the town’s Area Action Plan – a strategic document to guide the development of the town – at its next meeting on Monday, 18th January.  The meeting will start at 5.30pm and all residents are welcome to attend. Brierley Hill performers set to lay on Mother Goose panto treat

BRIERLEY Hill Musical Theatre Company will be bringing to life popular pantomime Mother Goose this weekend.

Seasoned Brierley Hill stage stars Garry McWilliams as Mother Goose and Rebecca Thorne as Troy will be joining a host of more than 40 talented performers in the show, which runs at Brierley Hill Civic Hall, Bank Street, Brierley Hill, from Saturday January 9 until Saturday January 16.

Evening performances start at 7.15pm on January 9, 13, 14, 15 and 16; and matinee shows will run from 2.15pm on January 9, 10 and 16.
