THE Wordsley School is celebrating after being rated “good” by Ofsted.
Previously ranked “satisfactory in 2006, the Brierley Hill Road school was visited by inspectors last month.
They noted many outstanding features and praised the school as “rapidly improving” and “very inclusive” and praising its care, guidance and support as well as its engagement with parents, the behaviour of pupils and how the schoool promotes equality and tackles discrimination.
Headteacher Mike Lambert, whose vision and leadership was also complimented, said: “The entire report is a celebration of what can be achieved when all within a school community work together with a deep felt conviction that we can make a difference to our young people, so they too can pursue their dream.
“This is a belting report, we can go forward with confidence and a renewed self belief that will ensure we become universally accepted as an outstanding school.”
