Bob the Builder set to flick the switch

Children’s TV favourite Bob the Builder is set to visit Brierley Hill to switch on the town’s Christmas lights on Friday 26 November.

The Dudley Council event, which runs at the Moor Shopping Centre from 4 to 6pm, is set to include free face painting, children’s rides and music, dance and entertainment, Santa’s grotto and real life reindeers.

Bob the Builder will make appearances at various intervals during the event and will switch on the festive lights at 6pm.

There will also be activities taking place in the Concorde Market.

Councillor Les Jones, cabinet member for regeneration, said:

“Brierley Hill town centre’s Christmas lights is going to be the best one yet and with Bob the Builder making an appearance I’m sure lots of families will head into town to do some Christmas shopping and enjoy the festivities.
