Our good friends at Netherton Regeneration Partnership are holding Netherton Arts Centre Easter Market, next Sunday 27th March, 11am – 4pm, 50p entry including raffle ticket. Stalls available to hire for £20. Crafts, gifts, jewellery, refreshments etc all on offer throughout the day.
What an amazing afternoon. Brierley Hall Civic Hall was alive with the sound of Brierley Hillness!
110 dancers from four local schools joined Buzz Youth Theatre in a one-off spectacular which traced the story of a Brierley Hill family from the 1930s to present day; changes in the family mirrored by the changing landscape of Brierley Hill and iconic buildings past and present.
Dudley Performing Arts worked with children from Belle Vue Primary School, Blanford Mere Primary School, Quarry Bank Primary School and Withymoor Primary School as part of the Brierley Hillness project being run until the end of April.
Audience feedback included:
“Very positive and encouraging to see the enthusiasm of Brierley Hill children and how they have embraced the heritage of Brierley Hill and made it their own”.
“Fantastic. It is ALL my daughter has talked about for weeks – she has learnt a great deal too”
For those of you who missed it, the ‘film version’ of One Boy, One Town, One Big Idea! is coming to the small screen in Artspace, Mill Street on 7th April. Spaces are limited so please reserve a seat by email: Brierley.email@example.com or by telephone: 07866 404885.
One Boy. One Town. One Big Idea!

As the brilliant Brierley Hill Pony Trail comes to an end (25th September), you have the chance to buy one of the ponies.
Many schools involved in the project have opted to buy their own ponies, but some are still looking for homes and will be auctioned at 6pm on Monday 4th October 2010 at the Copthorne hotel.
Please see brochure below for which ponies are still available and more details. Look forward to seeing you on 4th!
There will be a first chance to see all of the 30 ponies together in their paddock, this Saturday, 3rd July 2010 at Dudley Performing Arts, Summer Festival on Saturday 3 July, at Himley Park. The ponies will then be placed in locations around Brierley Hill over this summer as part of a walking and exploring trail.
Entry to Himley Park will also allow you to visit the festival and to see performances by some of Dudley’s most talented young musicians, dancers, singers, orchestras, massed choirs, soloists, drummers and school music groups.
The trail consists of 30 ponies, all dynamically different to one another, designed and decorated by local schools, colleges and artists. A map will be available to buy which shows the trail, the ponies and each participant. Follow the trail to find your favourite!
